Our instructors combine extensive flight experience with a strong commitment to personalized customer service. Each instructor brings hundreds to thousands of flight hours across single- and multi-engine aircraft, and complex avionics environments. Our instructors prioritize giving students exposure to real-world procedures, disciplined airmanship, and advanced decision-making.
Instruction at Sunrise Aviation is student-focused and efficient. Instruction Policies:
Accelerated and Hourly Billing - Any training required outside of the accelerated course will resort to hourly billing.
Cancelation Policy - Any cancelations made less than 12 hours in advance of a lesson will incur a cancelation fee.
Shelby Wang
CFI, CFII, MEI, Part 107 License
Education: Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, Degrees in Commercial Aviation and High Altitude Unmanned Air Systems and Operations, with a specialization in Business Aviation
About: Shelby is recently from Columbus, OH. She found her love for aviation when she took a discovery flight in high school at a small airport in Wadsworth, OH. After graduating high school, she attended the University of North Dakota where she received her PPL (Private Pilot License) through her CFII (Flight Instructor - Instrument) License while discovering an interest in high-altitude drones. After graduation, she continued to pursue her passion through Sunrise Aviation (previously 360 Aviation) by getting her MEI (Multi-Engine Instructor) License. Her future plans are to fly for the airlines and continue flight instructing. Outside of flying, Shelby loves to spend her time hiking, traveling, and seeing friends and family!
Jake Wagner
CFI, CFII
Education: Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, Degree in Aviation BS Aeronautics
About: Jake grew up in Canby, MN, where he was introduced to aviation at a young age by his dad, a pilot at Southwest Airlines. Jake pursued a degree in Aviation at Minnesota State University Mankato. He then finished up his Flight Instructor ratings at Sunrise Aviation (previously 360 Aviation). Jake enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family at the lake in his free time. His future plans are to fly for the airlines. A fun fact about Jake is that he recently married his high school sweetheart, Abby!
Isaac Mueller
CFI, CFII
Education: Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, Degree in Aviation BS Aeronautics
About: Isaac grew up in Cleveland, MN, where he discovered a passion for aviation in elementary school. He took his first flight in a GA aircraft in 8th grade and eventually continued his passion in college at Minnesota State University - Mankato. He completed a portion of his flight training there and then finished the rest of his training with Sunrise Aviation (previously 360 Aviation) in the span of a few months! In his free time, Isaac enjoys hunting, fishing, and hanging out with friends. His future plans are to eventually go to the airlines!
Mason Goodman
CFI, CFII
Education: Associates Degree in Business from Rochester Community Technical College
About: Mason grew up in Zumbrota, MN, where he was introduced to aviation by a Mayo Clinic pilot. For fun, Mason enjoys hunting water fowl and deer, fishing in northern Minnesota, golfing and spending time with friends. He lives on his family farm where he enjoys raising beef cattle. Mason began his flight training at Sunrise Aviation (previously 360 Aviation) with his private pilot and continued his flight training all the way through to his CFII (Flight Instructor - Instrument). One day, Mason hopes to build a career in the airlines.
Kyle Nixon
CFI, CFII, MEI
Education: Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics with a Degree in Commercial Aviation, with specializations in Business Aviation and German
About: Kyle grew up in Las Vegas, NV. Ever since he was a little kid, he was always facinated in how airplanes fly. After graduating highschool, he attended the University of North Dakota where he received his PPL (Private Pilots license) through his CFII (Flight Instructor- Instrument) License as well as a bachelors degree in Aviation. After graduating, he continued his flight education by earning his MEI at the University of Minnesota, Mankato. Kyle has aspirations to one day fly for the airlines. He enjoys listening to new music, exploring the outdoors, and going to baseball games with friends.
